The Ultimate Mountain Biking Adventure (UMBA) is a 5 DAY day 165+ mile ride from near Natural Bridges located within the Bear’s Ears National Monument, to Moab, Utah. 95% of the riding is on dirt roads, some of which are unimproved suitable only for off-road vehicles, so the terrain can be rugged and challenging.

The trip is sag supported with a 4 wheel drive vehicle, and all of your camping and personal gear is hauled to each night’s campsites, which are remote and incredibly scenic. This is a camping adventure with all the food and drinks provided. Each evening you must setup your tent and take it down and pack up after a hearty breakfast. Participants are expected to be able to cycle 30-40 miles each day through the best backcountry roads Southeastern Utah has to offer. The Sag vehicle is available to pick up weary riders, but an overall good fitness level is required to enjoy this trip.

*** NOTE: One the 4th day the support vehicle will not be with us as the roads in Larkhart Basin are too rough. It will circle around and come in from the north and meet us that night. This is also the most rugged portion of the bike ride so you will need to be confident in your stamina and bike skill or go with the truck and meet us later in the day.

The emphasis on this trip is riding through Bear’s Ears National Monument, skirting Canyonlands National Park, and cycling through some of the most remote Canyons along the the Colorado River. The ride has incredible vistas every day, opportunities to hike, and even observe the Ancient Ones ruins on Day 2, and observe up close the incredible geology of the region.

This is participatory trip offered at a very reasonable price therefore participants should be ready and willing to help pack the truck and assist in cooking and cleaning.
